Information collected by Greenplay
Greenplay collects information about you. We receive information in a number of ways, including when you move around with your mobile device with the Greenplay app installed. Greenplay also collects information on how you use various services such as the Greenplay Store. You also have the option to share information about yourself and your activities with Greenplay. For example :
Information about your account, profile, activity and usage
We collect basic information about your account such as your name, email address, date of birth, gender, weight, username and password, to allow us to operate the systems necessary for the proper functioning of the services. We also collect your name, phone number, email address or any other information when you come into contact with us and this, for the sole purpose of ensuring a link with your account, if necessary, by one of our employees.
From information about your profile, activities and usage are collected when you choose to upload a photo, activity (including date, time and geolocation information, as well as your speed, pace and any other information derived from them), join a challenge or win a badge.
We collect and process geolocation information when you register, use the services of Greenplay and agree to share them with us. In order for Greenplay's services to function properly, the application must collect data on the trips you make. By enabling data collection at all times, when you enter the app for the first time, you agree to the data being collected, even when the app is only running in the background. If you want to stop tracking the location of your device, you can do so at any time by changing your device settings.
Third parties accounts
Technical information and log files
We collect data from your mobile device that gives us technical information when you view or use the Services. This technical information includes device and network information, cookies, log files, and analytical information.
The mobile application uses log files. The information stored in these files includes metadata related to your use of the application and information about the device you are using such as platform type, timestamps and connection frequency. This information is used to analyze trends, administer, protect and secure the Services.
How Greenplay uses information
Greenplay uses the information we collect and receive as described below.
For the provision of the Services
We use the information we collect and receive in connection with the provision of the Services, including to provide you with the ability to perform the following actions:
- Record your activities and analyze your performance. For example, to compare your previous efforts and analyze your activities.

If we know that you like to run, we can tell you about new running activities or show you content related to this sport. If we see that you are running in a certain area, we can suggest an activity that is organized in that area.
To improve our Services
We also use the information we collect to analyze, develop and improve the Services. To this end, Greenplay may use third party analytics providers to better understand how our Services are used and to help us improve the Services.
To communicate with you
We use the information we collect to assist you in responding to your requests and comments in connection with the use of the Services.
By aggregating the data
We do not sell your personal information. Greenplay may aggregate information that you and others have made available through the Services and publish it publicly or share it with third parties. Examples of the type of information we may aggregate include information about modes of transportation, usage, demographics, routes, and performance.
How information is shared

If you link your Greenplay account to other social networks and share your activities, it will be visible on those third-party platforms, including your location information on a map. You should exercise caution when sharing information through third parties and you should carefully consider the privacy practices of such third parties.
In the event of a potential business transaction, you agree that Greenplay may disclose anonymous and aggregated information to another company in order to enable the parties to determine whether to proceed with such transaction.
In the event that the business transaction is concluded successfully, you agree that all information may be transmitted to the company in part or in full owner of Greenplay in order to continue its activities. A “business transaction” includes, but is not limited to, a restructuring, merger, purchase, sale or other acquisition or disposal of a company or any part of its assets.

How we protect information

You can delete your account directly in the mobile app. If you make a deletion request, we will permanently and irreversibly delete your personal data from our systems, including backups. Once deleted, your data, including your account, your activities and your place in the leaderboards cannot be restored. After deleting your account, it may take up to 90 days to delete your personal information and system logs from our systems. Additionally, we may retain information when deletion requests are made to comply with the law and take other actions required by law.
Note that content that you have shared with others, such as photos or that others have copied, may also remain visible after deleting your account or information specific to your own profile.
Greenplay also gives you the option to delete individual activities that you have posted without deleting your account. Once deleted, these activities may remain on Greenplay's systems until you delete your account.
The Services are operated from Canada. If you are located outside of Canada and choose to use the Services or provide information to us, you acknowledge and understand that your information will be transferred, processed and stored in Canada, to the extent necessary to provide the Services and comply with the Terms of Service.
Retention of information
We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Services to you and to others, subject to any legal obligation to retain such information longer. Information associated with your account will generally be retained until it is no longer necessary to provide the Services or your account is deleted. In addition, you can remove certain pieces of information (for example, profile information) and remove individual activities from the Services without deleting your account.
Information about you that is no longer necessary and relevant for the provision of the Services may be anonymized or aggregated with other non-personal data in order to provide information of commercial value to Greenplay, such as statistics on the use of the Services. .
